Name Genie: AI Naming Assistant
Name Genie is an AI-powered naming assistant for brands, apps, characters, pets, and more. Users can tune tone, length, and origin, then browse suggestions quickly, save favorites, and share promising directions across iOS, Android, and web. The live product is available at namegenie.eu.
Reducing Blank-Canvas Friction
The product is built around a simple idea: naming should feel exploratory instead of stressful. Rather than burying users in settings, the interface surfaces a handful of meaningful controls and turns AI output into something that feels swipeable, browsable, and easy to revisit later. That balance between utility and play is what makes the app work as both a tool and a lightweight creative companion.
Focus: AI-assisted ideation, mobile-first UX, and polished cross-platform delivery.
Stack: Expo, React Native, OpenAI, sharing flows, and saved history.
What it shows: Product thinking, prompt-driven interface design, and front-end engineering working together.

Designing an AI Experience That Feels Light
Name Genie sits right at the overlap of design and development. The value is not only in generating names, but in shaping how people move through options, compare them, keep momentum, and decide what to keep. This project highlights my interest in AI-native product UX: using engineering to make something functional, but also using design to make the interaction feel intuitive and encouraging.
